I especially am a fan of her journey as a female who has also gone through an existential crisis and is a constant seeker of knowledge, truth, and enlightenment. I hope the author turns this book into a trilogy for our heroine.

It feels like the first time one discovers the music scene. Like stepping out of muggles into the magic.
I love this music scene. so maligned in the mainstream media, its nice to have a book that takes you on a journey capturing that magic- and that genuine awakening to love, the environment and self growth.

Very imaginative ride from work-a-day banality to rave culture, psychedelic experience, self discovery, and other dimensions! Packed with ideas. The extensive glossary is a great resource.
A well written glimpse into the spiritual and cultural tapestry of the individual enlightenment that can be realized through the tribal community of the electronic music world. "JIVANA" explores the complexity of our own personal inner dialogues of our mind (shared modern world), body (physical experience), and spirit (higher consciousness).
There are insights and lessons to be gained for anyone who reads this book.
This story of Raver J hits me deep in a part of my soul purely reserved for the rave scene. As a veteran raver myself for well over a decade, not only can I relate to the story on a deeply, personal level, but I also find myself wishing J and her posse were accompanying me on my next show or festival trip. Jivana tells not only the positives and negatives of the scene, but also takes a hard look at the disconnection between ourselves and what we often see as normalcy in our lives. Track 1 takes you on a wild and musical trip and leaves you on a metaphysical peak, just waiting for the drop of the next track.
Imagine if William Burroughs were reincarnated as a corporate-slave-turned-rave-chick in an alternate, dystopian (but familiar) graphic novel-type reality. (!!!) Quantum physics, metaphysics, and environmentalism all play a role in this truly mesmerizing and unique little book...And this is just the first installment! Can't wait for the next one. I read it in one sitting, without stopping. If you have an interest in rave culture, science, and the sinister effects of corporate greed - and you like your literature intricate - this one is for you. Highly recommended.
The author is well-ahead of her time. Jivana’s message is profound, with bold and dreamy imagery (pink heart-shaped sunnies!) The setting is cold and futuristic, yet spiritual and lucid.
Upon reading it (twice now), I realized how highly-evolved and complex the protagonist and her message really is.
The protagonist’s name itself, “Jivana,” embodies the book’s message “Means of subsistence and livelihood” in Sanskrit. That is also one of the messages that I took from this book.
Bodhisattva “A person who is able to reach nirvana but delays doing so out of compassion in order to save suffering beings.”
Jivana’s first part of the tale will encourage the reader to hold themselves accountable for the decisions they make, and to steer themselves away from separation and competition -- a societal norm, into a more love-centric society.
She understands that that mankind is all connected, hence, leading to raving as the instrument to connecting with others in a simultaneous dance, also while practicing yoga (yoga “to unite”) with others.
The Raver Princess denounces socialistic norms such as competition and jealousy, opting for a more zen, and utopian future, a forgotten principle in today’s world.
The author provides well-curated Sanskrit terminology and thought-provoking historical quotes, with a giant heaping of wisdom, and similar to a previous review that a customer left, this tale will definitely draw memories of “Neo” and his role in defeating The Matrix, or the “machine.”
